The APCP SU were thrilled to take part in the first workshop with Australia's PNG Education Programs implementation partners * to co-create a Climate Resilient Design Sprint  for the PNG and Australia Secondary Schools (PASS) Program.

As part of the Climate Resilience School Partnership Project in April 2021 APCP SU will participate in the sprint and co-contribute to the program by providing and re-purposing existing resources on climate and disaster to achieve the following outcomes:

    • Supporting the Learning Outcomes from PNGAus Partnership Secondary Schools (PASS)
    • The PNG PASS program participants will be climate and disaster informed, and are feeling empowered to make adaptation changes, and act as knowledge brokers and future climate leaders.
    • Teachers, students and other participants will also have access to and be able to use climate education material to increase their understanding of climate change impacts and importantly local adaptation options.

*The PNGAus Partnership Secondary Schools initiative is managed by Tetra Tech International Development (Coffey International’s mother company) on behalf of the Australian Government, supported by Asia Education Foundation at Asialink, The University of Melbourne.
